The rock was named after the poet Eduard Mörike. The poet worked for almost two years in Ochsenwang as a pastor. Just one square meter of rock was one of his favorite places.

Nice view of the Albtrauf to Hepsisau and Neidlingen. In good visibility with a view of the 3 Kaiserberge, Staufen, Stuifen and Hohenrechberg.
