Hiking

The Alserbach (short: Als) is 10.55 km long and flows into the right main collecting canal at the Friedensbrücke (only into the Danube Canal in heavy rain). From Neuwaldegg it flows underground through Dornbach and Hernals, then under the Lazarettgasse and Alserbachstraße. See geschichtewiki.wien.gv.at/Als

Addition to my description of Hameau. From the Hameau you can take a leisurely hike over here. Then a bit further to Exelberg and down to Schwarzenberg. I would recommend an ideal round trip with children aged 10 and over.
