A very special gem greets you from afar in the southwest of the Kaiserstuhl - the Breisach St. Stephen's Minster. Situated high on the Münsterberg, Breisach's landmark towers over the houses of the old town and the Rhine plain. Its two towers show visitors the way to an interesting building that contains numerous treasures and outstanding works of art that should not be missed. Romanesque and Gothic elements characterize the Minster, which was probably begun in the late 12th century and completed in the late 15th century.
