Hiking

Before running water was brought to the population through water pipe systems, wells and water tanks were the only way to get drinkable water. Until the 20th century, the supply of water for people, animals and plants was a problem in hot summers. In 1897, Julius Schottmüller built this sandstone tank with a corner rustication and gabled attic on behalf of the municipality. The tank had a capacity of 80 cubic meters. The flanking trees were part of the system.
