The hamlet of Shana is located in the valley of the ‘Paro Chhu’ at an altitude of around 2,900 m. The drivable track ends here and is therefore of some importance for trade and supplies to the hinterland. Here there is access to the ‘Jigme Dorji National Park’ and to the ‘Snowman Trek’ and ‘Jomolhari Trek’ tours.
