Hiking
Sir Richard Arkwright is buried in the crypt beneath the chancel and nave of the church. Arkwright is considered the father of the Industrial Revolution. He invented a spinning machine that used water power to spin cotton yarn more quickly and in greater quantities than ever before.
Other family members are buried in the small graveyard next to the River Derwent.
