Dog friendly cafe - if you sit outdoors under cover. Free toilets over other side of car park. Reasonable car park about £3 for about 5 hours or so. In the Summer, there's an old bloke who captains a visitor barge up and down the canal from this point, towed by a beautiful old black and white Clydesdale

Cromford Warf is the historic terminus of the Cromford Canal and the start of a walk taking in aqueducts over the River Derwent and the Midland Railway. High Peak Junction Visitors Centre can be visited on the walk it is situated at the bottom of a rope driven wagon incline. Quite near to the Junction is Leawood Pumphouse containing a steam driven pump. It is a magnificent site and comes alive on steaming days.
A restored narrow boat, Birdswood undertakes scheduled trips through the year by the Friends of Cromford Canal.
The pay & display car park at Canal Warf provides a starting point for walking in all directions. Walks for all abilities can be undertaken on the level and on steep paths from the Warf.
