Nice (car-free) ascent from the Obernau dam to the Hohenroth forest house (waldland-hohenroth.de). It's completely paved, of course partly a bit bumpy and covered with leaves and branches, but still the most beautiful route for me to get to Eisenstraße.
Length approx. 4 km, 250 m, an average of approx. 6% gradient.
