Forsthaus Kalkofen and Animal Park

A nice resting place for young and old

The forester's house Kalkofen is idyllically situated in the middle of the fields in Darmstadt-Arheilgen. It is a good idea to go there by bike, but it is also very easy to get to by car. There are enough parking spaces. There is a restaurant and some animals such as peacocks for the children to see. The area offers enough space for day trippers. Always recommendable.

Very worthwhile destination for cyclists, hikers as well as to visit the beautiful pond with the many animals on site and the playground. Good gastronomy, not very cheap. Very suitable as a starting point for hikes, of course also as a destination 🍻 plenty of free parking spaces available, separate hiking car park after those of the lime kiln.
