The Böhler Lighthouse (St. Peter-Böhl)
Year of construction: In 1892, the round, reddish-brown brick tower was built on the sea dike.
Origin as a daytime signal: For the first approximately 20 years, the 18.4-meter-high structure served exclusively for navigation during daylight hours for orientation.
Electrification & Lantern: Only in 1914 did the tower receive its lantern for nighttime signals.
Current function: It serves as a leading light for the Eider fairway and is the permanent landmark of the Böhl district. Climbing for the public is not possible.
