"The choir with its three-sided end of the hall church dates from the end of the 13th century. The nave to the west was added in the first half of the 17th century. The neo-Romanesque church tower on a square floor plan in the west was only built in 1864-67 from ashlar masonry. Its three floors are divided by pilaster strips and arched friezes. Its ground floor contains the portal with an arched jamb. The floor above houses the tower clock. The bell cage, in which three church bells hang, is located behind the sound arcades on the top, octagonal floor. The tower is covered with an eight-sided, slate-covered, pointed helmet. The interior has had galleries on the long sides since 1775. The church furnishings include a medieval tabernacle and a Gothic baptismal font. In 1889 the organ was moved from the choir to the gallery on the north side. The organ with eight registers was built in 1860 by Johann Georg Förster and overhauled in 2001 by Förster & Nicolaus Orgelbau."Source: de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evangelische_Kirche_(Effolderbach)
