    Wikipedia:

The Berserker, a muscular, naked man in an attacking position, was erected on March 2, 1989 on the northwest side of the market square. The sculpture was created by Waldemar Grzimek and symbolizes the "threat posed by the eternal marchers." The original bronze figure, which originally stood on the market square, was replaced by a second cast by the estate administrators of the deceased sculptor. The Berserker extends the artificial corridor that leads from the market square across the Erich Ollenhauer Promenade to the Mathildenhöhe.

The sculpture has been located on the northwest side of the market square since 1989. The striking statue was made by the sculptor Waldemar Grzimek. It depicts a strong naked man in an attacking position, who represents "the threat of the eternal marcher". However, this figure is a copy that the estate administrator of the late Grzimek had erected at this location.
