The church dates back to the 15th century. In the 17th century, it was expanded to include a chapel on the northern side. In the 18th century, a half-timbered tower was added. In the years 1871-1872, a thorough renovation was carried out, combined with reconstruction. The window openings and roof truss were changed at that time.

Rebuilt in the 18th and 19th centuries, the church was built on a rectangular plan, constructed of rubble and plastered. In the 18th century, a burial chapel and bell tower were added. After World War II, it fell into disuse and was reconsecrated in 1959.
