In October 2024, a work of art for Simon Gronowski (92) was unveiled here in Borgloon. He survived the Holocaust by jumping out of a deportation train in 1943 as an 11-year-old boy and was able to go into hiding in Kuttekoven. Artist Koenraad Tinel (88) himself grew up in a family that collaborated, but became brotherly friends with Simon years later and now created this work of art.
