In Borgloon, an artwork has been unveiled for Simon Gronowski (92). He survived the Holocaust by jumping out of a deportation train in 1943 as an 11-year-old boy and was able to go into hiding in Kuttekoven. Artist Koenraad Tinel (88) himself grew up in a family that collaborated, but became brotherly friends with Simon years later and now created this artwork.
