In the 18th century, the market tower served as a prison, in the 19th century it housed the parish bell and in the 20th century a wine bar. It was restored in 1910 by the Rhenish Association for Monument Preservation and Landscape Protection. The addition of corner towers to the roof changed the shape of the tower. It remained undamaged during the Second World War. Today it is used as a private residence.

The market tower gives an impression of what it used to be like here. Such a beautiful place.
