The idyllic park of the Wietmarscher "Stiftsbusch" has a history of over 800 years. The beautiful forest area was already part of a Benedictine monastery and the later women's monastery "Sünte Marienrode". A Corpus Christi path now leads through the Stiftsbusch past two forest chapels, the "Marien- und Josekapelle". The forest cemetery with its own cemetery chapel is also located in the Stiftsbusch.

In the park-like forest area, seven hiking and cycling paths meet in a "seven-pointed star" and it has now become a popular tourist destination.
