The castle ruin Falkenstein is subdivided into upper and Unterfalkenstein. The upper plant is better preserved. The castle was probably built between 1515 and 1545. The Unterfalkenstein is much older and is dated to 1100 to 1150. From the ruins you have a great view of the Danube valley and can make a rest at one of the barbecue areas.

Interesting remains of the Falkeinstein Castle, to walk through and beautiful to imagine what it might have looked like in the past. Is a relatively large facility with a separate barbecue area and small emergency shelter.

The way there is worthwhile; some of the old walls are still well preserved.
