The Merano artist Matthias Schönweger is a finder of meaning, not necessarily one who looks for it. He stumbles upon it, so to speak. He loves the subtle, takes language literally and follows its winding paths to the depths. He is an iconoclast in the truest sense of the word. He breaks down images and reveals their treacherous origins without destroying them. For Lana's sculpture walk, he offers a bench to sit and read, a place where you can and should think. In a compartment in the hollowed-out tree trunk, books are available to borrow and exchange.

Brandiser Waalweg - very great.
Depending on where you are staying - I am always in Niederlana.
Starting in Niederlana at the Gasthaus Waalrast, you can walk to Mittellana - approx. 4 km / 45 minutes at a good pace / 60 minutes at a leisurely pace.
You can also walk a little further after the Gasthaus Waalrast to the waterfall. Very great - especially if it has rained a lot the day before, then the waterfall is a feast for the eyes.
There are always sculptures there - they are also nice to look at
