It is the traffic artery between the city center and Rentfort, Schultendorf and Kirchhellen. Anyone who wants to get to the city or onto the B 224 without detours has to drive over it. It was built in the 1960s, when even the tranquil town of Gladbeck still dreamed of becoming a big city. The aim was to have 120,000 residents. In 1964, a development area for over 10,000 people was created in Rentfort-Nord alone. At the same time, private transport became increasingly important. Your own car suddenly became part of life.
