The tetrahedron on the heap Beckstr. in Bottrop is one of the most prominent landmarks of the Ruhr area and with good visibility from far away still visible. Anyone who has grappled their way up the steep slopes of the heap should definitely climb the steps of the tetrahedron to the viewing platform. The all-around view is worth it! The heap is well developed and many paved paths lead up and down. A little tip on the edge: If you are in the mood for skiing or snowboarding after biking, you only have to drive one kilometer to the Prosperstrasse heap, because this is where the Bottrop ski hall is located.

The tetrahedron is easily accessible. At the foot of the heap ample parking is available, since the number of visitors is not particularly high. There is the possibility over Serpentienen to come up, or to use a staircase.
The view from the highest platform is great, but not for people with vertigo, as the way up leads over lattice steps. Apart from that, the platforms swing a bit because they are attached to wire ropes.

The tetrahedron is worth seeing because of its architecture. But also great as a lookout tower. I am glad that I have supplied supporting components for this.

The dump event Emscherblick, tetrahedron, is a built in the form of a three-sided pyramid and freely walkable viewing terrace on the Halde Beckstraße in Bottrop-Batenbrock. The steel construction with a side length of 60 m rests on four 9 m high concrete pillars and is located on the top of about 120 m above sea level high heap on the Beckstraße. The heap has a prominence of about 90 meters to the ambient level. On a clear day you can see the landmark of the city of Bottrop from Essen main station. By 19 October 2014, the tetrahedron (platform) was approached in the summer half-year with midi hydrogen hybrid buses, this traffic was lost, however, as the funds of the EU were no longer available. Alternatively, there is a stop at the foot of the heap.

Status 09.03.2018, The mountain bike runs are blocked with trees and branches. It does not look like coincidence or storm, but really after blockades to cross fields in order to stop rides.

Many trails are overgrown or blocked by trees and branches. Instead, you can but one of the many forest trails up and down again. Is not that adventurous, but also fun. :-)But you have to take care of pedestrians and joggers!

The dump Beckstraße is about 78 meters high and rises about 120 meters above sea level. This makes it the sixth highest mountain dump in the Ruhr area. The overburden was dumped on the dump Beckstraße as well as on the adjacent heap Prosperstraße from 1969 to 1993 from the nearby colliery Prosper.
