There are several watercourses named Rode Beek (Red Brook). This Rode Beek, also called Roodebeek (Red Brook), flows through the Heinsberg district in Germany, a district in the far west of Germany, in North Rhine-Westphalia, where it is called the Rothenbach, and in Limburg. The stream flows into the Geleenbeek. However, it has two headwaters (which originate in different areas) and merge near Mindergangelt, also in North Rhine-Westphalia.The rare brook lamprey can be found in the Rode Beek. This fish can be found in about ten streams in Limburg, two of which flow into De Meinweg National Park: in addition to the Rode Beek, there is also the Bosbeek. More information about the latter can be found at natuurtijdschriften.nl/pub/1003687/NAHM2007096006003.pdf
