The Herzberger Teich, also known simply as Herzer, is an artificial pond in Goslar that was created in 1561. It is located in the mountain valley between the Rammelsberg and Herzberg hills near the surface facilities of the former Rammelsberg ore mine. It was built as a water reservoir that used its water to drive the underground artificial wheels that were used to drain the ore mine. Today it is part of the Rammelsberg Mine, Goslar Old Town and Upper Harz Water Management World Heritage Site.
