Hardenburg Castle Ruins

Great bike path (coming from Frankenstein) it always goes downhill

The castle ruins Hardenburg in the village of the same name Hardenburg, my hometown.The ruin towers high above with a view of the village but also over to the Limburg monastery ruins.You can reach the ruin via the B37 and the free parking lot at the Waldschlössel restaurant, the climb is paved, only passable for residents and is quite steep. Ideal for strollers or wheelchair users.Coming from the other side over the Schloßberg, also steep and much more bumpy because of the large cobblestones, but with a very nice view.Many other hiking routes coming out of the forest also lead to the ruin.By the way, there is a small museum there, guided tours can be booked, the castle is super interesting as well as an adventure playground for young and old. A visit is always worthwhile.
