The Heiligenrode monastery was founded in 1182, the church was initially built from wood and the forest was cleared, hence the name.
It is part of the Stuhr cycle pilgrimage route. There is also a pilgrim pass with the stations. Unfortunately I couldn't go inside and see them from the inside.
