Hiking
A wide panoramic view of the bay of Vathi on the island of Ithaca, known as the home of Odysseus, is offered. This specific perspective is typical of viewpoints along the road to the Monastery of Panagia Kathariotissa (Moni Katharon) or near the mountain village of Anogi.
The city in the background is the capital and main port of Ithaca. It is located at the end of a deeply cut, sheltered bay, often compared to a fjord.
Lazaretto Island: The small, distinctive island in the middle of the bay is Lazaretto. It houses the chapel of "Sotiros" from 1668.
