Hiking
Sarakiniko beach is located just about 3 km from the island's capital, Vathy.
The bay consists of two separate pebble beaches connected by a short footpath.
The first section is often used by local fishermen as an anchorage. Here there is a small beach bar called Lea's, offering snacks and refreshments.
The second section is a bit longer, quieter and offers natural shade through olive trees and cypresses. This part is ideal for those seeking tranquility and for snorkeling in the clear, emerald-green water.
