Germenata is a small, traditional village in the north of the island, near Fiskardo.

Walks lead through abandoned settlements that were destroyed in the severe earthquake of 1953. Unlike many other places on the island, Germenata itself remained largely spared, preserving its original character.

In the surrounding area you will find
remains of old stone houses and churches, which are now being reclaimed by nature.
