At the moment it is also a stamping point for the Harz hiking pin.

The Krockstein is east of Rübeland. On its flanks towards the Bodetal and Kreuztal there is an abandoned stone bridge, where marble was mined as early as Goethe's time.
Caspar David Friedrich used these as a template for some of his "cave paintings". The Krockstein vantage point can be hiked from Neuwerk and Kreuztal, although the path from Kreuztal in the lower half is not recommended at the moment, unless you are a mountain goat and love borderline climbing over fallen trees.
From 16.10. By the way, the wandering stamp box was set up here until December 15th, 2021.
