The 'Bubbles Trail' runs from 'Eagle Lake' at the junction of the 'Eagle Lake Carriage Road' as a ridge walk in a north-south direction over the 'Conners Nubble' and 'The Bubbles' to the 'Jordan Pond'.We will hike the trail in early June 2024. The junction to the northern tip of the 'Jordan Pond' on the 'Bubbles Divide' is closed due to construction work. The steep descent from the 'South Bubble' to the lake leads over rocky terrain and is challenging.

Walking up from the lake to South Bubble involves a short vertical rock climbing section, and very challenging steep rocky paths. There were a number of people having to turn back because it was beyond their skill level to continue. It's a fantastic route for experienced hill walkers able to deal with vertical sections of actual climbing. I would class this section as a scramble, not a trail...
