If you really want to enjoy the Cicindria, which is more than a babbling brook but is at the source of Sint-Truiden itself, you can do a walk of 5.7 and one of 2.9 kilometers "Walk in the Cicindria valley along Roman roads". A Benedictine monastery stood in this valley (Val St-Trudon) until the 13th century. In 1986, important archaeological finds were excavated along the Roman road, which can now be admired in the town hall on the Grote Markt".

The Cicindria or Cicindriabeek is a stream in the Belgian province of Limburg. This stream rises at an altitude of 120 metres near the language border in Hasselbroek, a hamlet of Jeuk in the municipality of Gingelom. The source of the Cicindria is located at the Kasteeldomein van Hasselbroek. The Cicindria flows in a northerly direction and flows into the Melsterbeek near Melveren.
