The way from the official car park in Seifersdorf leads up to here. It has a great view of the valley and can get a little Überblik on the rest of the tour :-).

From here it goes down a beautiful wild stone staircase into the valley - you have to be careful when you descend, so you do not fall down - but the normally gifted hiker gets that well.

Hermann's monument rises on the southern foothills of the castle hill, on which there are remains of a rampart from the most recent Bronze Age. It occupies a key position in the image program of the Seifersdorfer valley. In the past, when the rocky parts were freer due to intensive forest use, you could see the oak from many places in the valley.

The oak was destroyed by lightning in the 1930s. The rest of the tree trunk with the stone altar in front of it are still impressive today. The beautiful view from here into the valley is well worth the difficult climb.

The monument offers a wonderful view of the valley and across to the monument to Anna Amalia.
