Franz Brinkmann created his work of art, the wind chime, in 1973 as part of a competition for inner-city design. At its former location on Hermannstrasse opposite the glass house (Hermannstrasse 16), it invited the youngest children in particular to play with it every day. Two rotating concrete balls provided the framework for the actual wind chime made of aluminum, which sat high on a base and itself contained a moving ball.
