The Budavári Sikló, formerly Budai Hegypálya, is a funicular railway in the Hungarian capital Budapest, which runs from the banks of the Danube to the Castle District on the Castle Hill. The funicular railway was opened in 1870 and is the second oldest in the world. It has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987.
