Gastel Sfeer is a household name in the region. This cozy café is located on the junction cycle route and is a popular stop for cyclists. As a ferry house and later as a stop for the horse-drawn tram, the Gastelsveer has been a wonderful place to enjoy a carefree holiday since 1791.
Where the ferry from Oud Gastel to Kruisland used to dock, you will now find Gastel Sfeer. A cozy brown café where you can drop in for a cup of coffee or a drink while cycling or walking, but also for lunch, dinner or a snack in between. The beautiful location on the Roosendaalsche Vliet and the view over Oud Gastel and the polders make Gastel Sfeer an attraction for day trippers and active people.

History
The Gastelsveer has been a household name in the region since 1791. Situated along the Roosendaalsche Vliet on the Gastelse Dijk, it is a place where countless people crossed over with the ferry and later with the horse-drawn tram. Even Queen Wilhelmina visited here during an inspection after the Second World War, in short, a place full of history. You can feel that history everywhere, from the bar to the terrace. The Gastelsveer has been a stop, rest area and meeting place for young and old for over 230 years!
