This belt mill is a mill with a so-called Van Rietwiek system, where the blades rotate without a sail and look like airplane wings. Depending on the wind force, they can be further opened or closed. The rotational speed therefore remains constant and grinding can be carried out in almost all weather conditions. It is the only mill in the Netherlands that has four blades of this Van Rietwijk system.
