    Hiking

Modern hut with a striking roof shape on the south side of the Krummbachstein. The Naturfreundehaus Knofeleben was opened in 2012 after the previous hut unfortunately burned down. The cozy rooms are bright and very clean. Monday is a rest day.

    Mountaineering

The Naturfreundehaus is located on the southern foothills of the Schneeberg, on the Knofeleben. This base owes its name to the wild garlic that grows rampant here in spring.
