This is a large fen (approx. 85 ha) on the Strabrechtse Heide, and is the largest fen in the Netherlands. is known for its rich bird population and special vegetation. The banks are vulnerable and not accessible, but there are viewpoints. The area is home to various bird species, including rare breeding birds such as cormorants and spoonbills. Regular guests include the great white heron, green sandpiper, sea eagle and osprey.
