The castle, a two-storey hipped roof building, was built between 1720 and 1723. The builder was Lieutenant General Field Marshal Franz Philipp von Boineburg. The building's stonework consists of corner blocks and round cornices in sandstone, stylistic elements of the late Renaissance. The embossed windows, the portal with a raftered gable and the open staircase correspond to baroque castle buildings in the region. A baroque garden from the 18th century and an English landscape garden from the 18th/19th century on the slope are part of the property.
