In the Karsaki forest, at a place called Crossroads, where three roads meet, there is an old oak tree with a cross embedded in it. It is said that where the cross is, there was a palivark near Boleslavova (Balina). Such a girl Zoska served in that manor. She hanged herself out of love on that oak tree. The lady of the manor ordered a cross to be hung on that oak tree. And that cross grew into the oak trunk - only a piece is visible." According to another legend, told by P. Juzukonis, a resident of this village (born in 1921), "the cross was nailed at the behest of the gentlemen who often played at that place when they drove by. Because nearby is Zoska mountain, on which a woman named Zosė hanged herself."
