Since 2021, the site of the former recycling center has been managed by HALLO e.V. – Association for Space-Opening Culture – as part of a grant from BUKEA (Hamburg's Department of Urban Development and Environment), and is regularly open to the public from May to October. It enjoys growing popularity and recognition.

In 2020, the project received an award in the "Managed" category of the Federal Urban Green Spaces Prize. The prize, awarded by the Federal Ministry of the Interior, recognized the project for its particularly intensive participatory approach among 237 submitted projects.
