The "Langeloh Nature Trail" takes you on a circular route through one of the most beautiful and valuable nature reserves in Herne and Castrop-Rauxel. It offers impressions of a varied landscape and points out remarkable natural phenomena. From the Castrop plateau it goes down into the valley of the Roßbach. Again and again the route allows for wide views of the center of Castrop-Rauxel and the Emscher lowlands.
The starting point of the nature trail is at the Castrop hiking car park "Bochumer Straße" at the Hotel Daun. From here the trail runs as a circular route anti-clockwise. See: biostation-ruhr-ost.de/Projekte/schutzgebiete/naturpfad-langeloh/herzlich-willkommen.html
