Beautiful little chapel right on the path.

This small chapel is located directly on the access road to Liebenstein.
It is secured with wicker fence wire

On December 13, 2005, the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, on the initiative of the then Mayor of the Libá Municipality, Miroslav Podlipskí, declared the alcove chapel in the Libá Municipality as a cultural memory.
The chapel is an Important Landscape Feature as it is situated on a hilltop and visually prominent, and is one of the few examples of small structures executed by local builders in the region. The niche chapel represents the small sacral architecture of the landscape from the first half of the 19th century. It demonstrates the quality of craftsmanship, even of small buildings that play an important role in shaping the landscape around the villages.
        The legend tells:
Count Zedtwitz from the local castle married his daughter to Maria Kulm, where there is a well-known church. There, far from home, she felt very abandoned and returned home on horseback or even on foot. However, she was often prevented from doing so by bad weather, especially autumn and spring weather. She was slowly fading with longing. In her letters she shared her great homesickness. To relieve his daughter's grief, the count had this chapel built on the highest point (551 m.a.s.l.) on the road to Libá. So when she looked at the chapel, she saw the location of her original home, and regardless of the weather, it reminded her of home. The count made sure that the chapel was always painted white so that it was clearly visible. So the daughter looked towards home every day and gradually got used to her new home.
