The historic "Kaiser Wilhelm Promenade" leads from the town center (to the right of St. Preimskirche) into the Kötschach Valley. Past the monument to the great German Emperor Wilhelm, who, like many other famous people, used the "healing springs" of Bad Gastein, you walk far away from the noise of the streets, accompanied only by the twittering of birds and the always hungry squirrels scurrying past, into the Kötschach Valley - with its famous painter's corner.
