"The history of the Trost Mill dates back to the 12th century. In 1859, the Trost family took over the mill business, which is now run by the fifth generation. Even today, the romantic mill channel carries water from the Erms River to our turbine. Next to the turbine, one of the last fully functioning waterwheels in the area generates additional power. The surplus electricity is fed into the public grid."
