The Fürth Süd stop was opened on 26 October 1921. The city of Fürth submitted an application to build a stop between the Stein and Zirndorf-Altenberg stations before the line was completed in 1914, but the decision was delayed due to the First World War.[19] With the closure of the Bibertbahn on 26 September 1986, passenger service ended.

On 17 August 1931, the DRG approved the construction of a stop in Leonrod, which first appeared a few weeks later in the 1931/32 winter timetable.
