The Nuenens Broek is a 50 hectare nature reserve, previously a swamp area due to the Brabant loam in the soil. The Hooidonkse Beek flows through the area, which was planted with poplars for the clog and match industry between 1932 and 1935. The area is home to special flora such as water violet, spotted arum, and scattered snowdrops. The landscape of the Nuenense Broek still resembles the landscape from the time of Vincent van Gogh. He took long walks through Nuenens Broek and other areas.
