Café Sonnenschein & Guesthouse

A popular meeting place with a great view over Bad Oeynhausen to the Wiehen Mountains: This is the traditional "Café Sonnenschein" on the Lohe (Gartenstr. 1/ corner of Küstriner Str., 32545 BadOeynhausen, Lohe district, Tel. (05731) 4989 559, Mobile: 0174-9480 638; E-Mail: info@cafesonnenschein-bo.de ). The café with an attached guesthouse was opened by Günter & Gerda Oeser in 1959. From 1987 to 2005 the business was continued by the Mengler family, and from 2005 to 2011 by another tenant as a Thai restaurant. After five years of vacancy and extensive renovation, the current tenant Alexander Zein took over the popular excursion restaurant in 2016. Speciality: home-made cakes. There are also hearty meals and cold drinks. Open: Wednesday to Saturday 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday/public holidays 9.30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Winter break in January.
