In August 2005, on the "Engen Hals", a pedestrian bridge over the Kermisdahl connecting the former pleasure garden of Johann Moritz von Nassau-Siegen to its landscaped bile landscape was opened to the public in memory of the very popular Queen Luise of Prussia, the l6th year-old princess visited Kleve on an educational trip to the Lower Rhine and to Holland in 1791, the bridge bears her name.

On August 7, 1763, the slope slipped here during a cloudburst. This is how the "narrow neck" came about. Before here was a Pferdeschwemme. The horses were led down and up from the riding-track which lay above the Kermis-tree. Erosion was the result. Today, the Luisenbrücke adorns this place. It was named after the kings of Preusen, who visited as Princess Kleve.

Wonderful rest area at Kermisdahl with a view of the Schwanenburg and over the Luisenbrücke into the Galleien.
