The beautiful color of the water of Lake Szurpiły makes a big impression. The lake consists of three clearly visible parts: the main pool, a shallow, narrow part called Jodel and a bay called Targowisko located behind the narrowing in the western part of the lake. Jodel Bay is surrounded by high hills. It is separated from the main part by a shallow area divided by an island with an area of 0.7 ha. The coastline is well developed and diversified. A permanent stream flows out of the reservoir in its northern part.
