From the Pont Royal you have one of the most beautiful views of this truly extraordinary church, which certainly has intentional and not unjustified similarities to the cathedral. In my opinion, the two complete pointed towers make it look even more perfect than the cathedral.
The Paulskirche was built after the German annexation between 1892 and 1897 according to the plans of the architect Louis Müller. It has two 76-meter-high twin towers and a large rose window with a diameter of eight meters. It is located at the tip of the Ill island of Sainte-Hélène on one of the most beautiful spots in the new town and, together with the Ill and the river bank, forms a remarkable sight.
